Collision and Coalescence by Grykë Pyje

Jani and Johannes made a wonder of an album which brings sweet and accesible sort of musical magic without the necessity to lower the standards or make anything to worsen the quality to reach out the wider audience.
It starts with a track that has a magic of a folk music actually not being it. A folklore of sounds and colours.
"Home Brewed Bewitchment" follows suit and I completely lost the plot - is it ethnic ambient? A ritualistic music? The transparency of the experimentalism and harmony transcends all that.
"Collision and Coalascense" is impossibly produced with beautiful droning feedback in the background but not losing its ethnic magic and all.
"Shrunken Friends From Tiny Dens" is a little trip into the strangeness of fantasy that is both melodic and experimental.
Same with "A Glitch in the Jungle" where jungle sounds don't sound trivial at all and we feel instantly being a part of some sort of dioramic vision of the landscape.
"Ancestors waving" brings other type of strangness, a very subtle and very evocative one where you actually have the glimpse of what an ambient track may be like if you put a little bit more spiritual knowledge to it.
"Spirits arise from the Swamp" is another otherworldy track that is both insanely well produced and gets you into the vibe instantly.
This is a very relaxing and deep trip, helps you to re-assess the approach to listening but also has quite a flexible contents that can take you anywhere you want. And without the feeling that you lose something on the artistic side of it.
