A Thought for Two by Keith Rowe, Kjell Bjørgeengen

Venerable father of improvised music is still active and he is coming back big time with a new album which is a duo between him and an excellent partner - namely: Kjell Bjørgeengen.

A new, limited numbered edition released by True Blanking from Oslo, Norway. A nice graphic design which stimulate your imagination right from the start when you hear the radio frequencies which are Keith's trademark along the subtle synths by Kjell add up to the fact that Keith also does the drawing and Kjell does the video here. It's one take long over 41 minutes session. Digs deeps into the fragility of sound - either it's a droning synth or radio frequencies or anything that Keith produces out of his guitar - its solidity and intuitive navigation never goes astray.

An improvised ambience which is driven by exploring both the potentials of the instruments as well as the moods and shifts that you can create using them.

Such records are instant classics and worth repeating to listen as you always find something new here.
