Konstrukt feat. Thurston Moore - Turkish Belly
Certain musical rendevous just have to happen sooner or later. Konstrukt with Thurston Moore is one of those. Improvising free jazz soaked Istanbul ensemble and a legend of NYC no wave scene and later Sonic Youth member, both busy with multiple collaborative work met last year before epidemics broke out and shut down everything for a while.
"Turkish belly" has a temperature of punk and the consistency of free improv - a persistence worth having when you experiment with instruments and form of music. Jazz and experimental rock music that come here together and something of a natural development are stinging, biting and scratching coming into wave form of ebbs and flows. A good example of what a live improv should sound like when it's done honestly.
