Kris Tanaka - The Power Within: Two books in one - Earth & Water books: 1

Kris is one of the most unassumingly fascinating people I have met. To list his experience would be an art of itself as he has been relentlessly busy with all sort of activities related to self-improvement and spiritual path. When I think of it - I would describe it as a perfect recipe for creating jobs out of passionate dedication to hobbies and pastimes.
''The Power Within'' is a book that presents a life path of a person, a student who never stops studying. It is clearly based on Kris' personal experience but I wouldn't mark it as 100% autobiographical - there is probably a lot of Kris in the protagonist and vice versa.
Unlike the previous book, I have reviewed - this one has lots of aspects of methodology, I would even dare to state that it's in a practical sense.
How the elements are represented in our life - in this case Water and and Earth. How you can use it in a practice of not only martial arts but foremostly on the psychological level.
On the other hand - it is not a textbook where you can find ready-made answers. There is more poetry here which you can interpret to the extent it's useful and sensible.

It's a rare type of read in the times where everything is made the way fast food is made and the linguistic codes are being washed down by the pace and the memetic nature of modern culture. It forces you to study it as a reference text, with deep meanings and practical solutions.
