Clastic by Euphotic

A trio of Cheryl E. Leonard, Tom Djill, and last but not least Bryan Day released on a venerable Confront Recordings, driven and run by inexhaustible Mark Wastell, who is a label owner and a musician himself.
Four tracks of immensely diverse frequencies and styles when it comes to dealing with the instruments. Three personalities and three different kinds of instrument and tool array, different backgrounds...yet - somehow and anyhow it is working.
It is a hands on free improvisation but thanks to this unique blend and how different layers and aspects work together here - it is just incredible.
Electroacoustic inner workings with lo fi electronics and acoustic trajectories that feel like they don't need any electronic processing because they feel and sound excellent themselves.
The narrative is edgy but never harsh - this album forces you to stop and listen, activate yourself. And a great one when it comes to the files of Confront Recordings - Mark here is doing just a stellar work with recording, promoting, editing, publishing.
