Czary by KRZYWDY

Krzywdy (plural form of "harm" in Polish) sets an interesting course for Zoharum. A dark tale of mist travellers and ritualistic sound design that takes you by surprise.

A dark ambient with an excellent touch on arranging vocals, keyboards and subtle rhythmical aspects of the whole ritual. It has both a good melody and a natural harmony between somewhat simplistic approach which still gives you the richness and density of something more than just music.

Krzywdy had me also thinking that in many ways the image is often stolen by the music itself or vice versa. Here we have somewhat interesting way dealing with it - both the grime, primitivistic and magical image blends perfectly with music which is sophisticated enough to make you feel like you want to come back to it outside of the context and dwelve deeper on it.

Suffice to say - it's a great soundtrack for the Covid-19 troubled times and the summer that is not like any of the summers we have ever experienced.

Its grime and gritty depth, a poetic evocation which sounds like a curse against anything that is technologically driven, yet using modern technology to create an excellent soundscape.
