Surreal and dreamy vocals with some minimalistic background in the first track introduce us to the new work of Natalie Beridze. Written between 2007 and 2021 these tracks can't be helped but to be described as a journal and a journey that it describes in a multi-versed way.
Natalie uses a lot of field recorded sounds as well as her own voice, processed sounds, almost classical ambient music that all blends into a clear and precise narrative. It bears a multi-faceted aspects of different moods and nuanced way of expressing delicate feelings that go sometimes with or without words.
Her vocals are ethereal and subtle but can be easily written into an interesting experimentalism which can be put together with Anette Peacock, Meredith Monk.
It is definitely an Anima element in music. Introspective and fragile but having strong foundations in the vision that the artist created. With all the little elements on a audio level, definitely worth visiting again.
