C´ant see the Rebel by R. Schappert

 

R. Schappert is coming back with his new album which is a refreshing and unpretentious click in the miasma of series and series of records being published through independent labels.

A pleasure to listen and something to ponder on how precise and elaborate and seemingly simple tracks here appear to be. A clean cut techno electronica with hints of ambient and a bit of melody. Refreshing and unpretentious in a way that makes you think that some of the albums despite the concise form and function that you can apply to anything you feel like - it makes you wonder where does it come from.

In a way it comes from a solidified place of  ingenious sonic curiosity and child-like, relaxed way towards composing strategies but I genuinely feel that it comes from the eloquence and knowledge that makes it all possible. After all its some sort of signs and symptoms in the musical form and contents that say about it. It might not be that obvious from the beginning, but it is just a happenstance of all those ingredients.
