Pendulum by Carlos Giffoni
Carlos Giffoni is an accomplished solo artist, musical collaborator as well, pretty recently a successful graphic novel artist, now residing in Spain.
This album due to be released in February 2026 is a compilation of different collaborative tracks he made with Greg Kelly, Zola Jesus, Lea Bertucci, Ben Chasny, Mabe Fratti and last but not the least Iggor Cavalera of Sepultura fame. It is an interesting set and it mirrors how open Carlos is, in his compositional values and approach towards working with each and every single collaborator here. And the spectrum of their profiles is pretty wide and wild. If you are looking for some pretty intense trip between experimental drone and beyond, improvisation, vocals and tape music, with post-industrial edge - this is the album to check out. And released by no other than Brisbane, Australia based Room40.
A note from Carlos...
I initially recorded all tracks in California between 2024 and 2025.
The tracks were then sent to various locations around the world to each collaborator for completion, before returning to me in California for final touches.
They were subsequently sent to Japan for mixing.
Then, back to California, and then to Australia, where the final designs for the artwork were created.
The final version was then multiplied and spread all over the world until it reached your ears, their intended target.
The Pendulum swings. And the world keeps rotating endlessly.
