Realness by Eternities

Bob Bellerue is quite often put under the label of noise composer and experimental musician but this label is too small and narrow for all his productive and creative output. Known for all sort of collaborations, event organising and technical skills in terms of PA and recording, he is and has been ever so busy in delivering all sorts of different releases.

Eternities is one of his collaborative projects - here he works with his lovely partner Katie Porter who elevates and explores the tonal possibilities of bass clarinet.

Realness is one of the outputs in the series designed and released for a cassette tape.

Two long tracks - each almost thirty minutes long are an invitation to deep attentive listening.  Slow and studious modulations and preparations can induce a meditative state. Minimalistic on the outside but dense and filled with a landscape of tiny little dissonances, nuances, and elaborate details.

Think of the years that minimalistic tradition left an imprint on modern experimental music and add a experimental noise sensitivity and a conscious way towards approaching music as a phenomenon that is beyond and out there...

Eternities is an intuitive collaboration between bass clarinetist Katie Porter and sound artist Bob Bellerue. Their work is inspired by deep presence, resonant feedback, melodic drone, and overtone magic, in the fluid realm between intention and indeterminacy. We use harmonic tones from wind instruments played within feedback systems to create multidimensional spectral drone.
