What if the field recording is the mirror not to the actual environment we record but to what we feel and register with the conscious mind?
Felix Blume is the French artist who went on to record horns of the ships in the port city of Piraeus, Greece. Usually rather disturbing if not annoying, those horns pose a serious question of what makes us uncomfortable and how we can deal with it when it comes to the sonic sphere.
Blume created a beautifully crafted album of different horn sounds that play the role of a main instrument and lead us from horror to bliss and beyond.
