HENOSIS VI​-​XI by AB INTRA

 

Zoharum is one of those labels that persist and continue to release very diverse music with easily recognisable profile that really never fails.

Radosław Kamiński from Poland has released a new album under moniker AB INTRA. And he has done an excellent job.

From the start you notice a huge trademark of his music which is an excellent combination of form and functionality - excellent, transparent sound design with reaching to the core of electronic music. A minimalistic cover that opens you to a deeper domain that the music soundtrack fills in excellently.

The labels that might be used here is definitely a post-industrial electronica with influences of dark ambient and new beat but less obvious than you might think.

First and foremost it is something that draws you to it - uit's the versatility of the themes. It's the cinematic experience of the synth passages that make you even think of the darker paths that Tangerine Dream took but never losing its post-industrial core with Coil in mind.

Henosis is an open formula - not only when it comes to the arrangements and the contents of this great cd but also because it invites you to drift away but far from the lounge easy listening ambient sort of way.

It has this pompous quality to it that once Popol Vuh so wonderfully mastered but without pathos and triviality. And quite a strong beat density.
