Hindmost Hand by Tim Olive

 

Tim Olive is coming back with a new material on a cassette released by Molten Fluid.

Two long tracks which incorporate some pickups, pieces of metal, electromagnets and spring reverb on the top of everything.

It somehow keeps the dynamics of harsh noise music but put in a more improvisatory context. A lot of feedback and harsh squirms of noise and droning magnets put the whole thing into motion and commotion.

Never too monotonous, always ready to switch gears, Tim steers away from idiosyncrasy towards some larger form that has the guts of metal machine - dissected and taken out of its insides op on the operating table. It's an interesting journey and again - helps to understand how little you need to create a wholesome form.
