GIUSEPPE IELASI & RICCARDO D. WANKE – with time, we learned to ask less
Anything that Giuseppe Ielasi releases always invites double attention. Both his compositional work and work as a producer has qualities so distinct and so specific that you cannot really miss it and shouldn't omit it.
It's no different this time where he joins forces with long time friend and musical collaborator Riccardo D. Wanke.
The result is a scintillating piece of work edited and published as a vinyl and DL.
It is a soft and eloquently buzzing composition for electric guitar and electric piano.
Full of eerie suspense and unobvious subtle twists and turns that make you think twice about how much can be achieved through making and creating less. I mean in in a thrifty way - how you balance the economy of two different instruments not overdoing it and not creating too much but just efficiently listening to each other and counterpoint each movement.
This is an exquisite collaborative work that I hope those two will try to repeat once more.
Just a beautiful subtle work to listen to.
