Mike Cooper - Tabu

Mike Cooper re-imagining and travesting Fredrich Murnau's "Tabu" from 1931.
A live soundtrack of slack guitar style of Hawaiian guitar and lap steel mingled with subtle electronics. A mastery of its own in its genre, Mike creates a lapsed image of something elusive and delicate. Yet in his play, that has an obvious reference to classical guitar music there is a special aspect. Something that eludes you and puts more existential tone. But not grim in colour, but rather an invitation to become acquintance of little mottos for life in form of the musical minature which most of the tracks are.
An existence on the verge of self-discovery. A story from the perspective straying away from the outlook of Western culture.
