Flicker, Scratch & Ivory by John Tilbury, Keith Rowe, Kjell Bjørgeengen

And here we go again - Keith, Kjell and this time another member of legendary AMM ensemble - John Tilbury.
Again one take and a healthy length of just over 40 minutes. This one was recorded in Café OTO in London, a famous venue for all things interesting and experimental.
Improvised music has never been that dramatic and full of lyricism as it is here. Three aspects, three profiles of the musicians involved are on equal terms yet I have to say: John Tilbury's piano is somewhat of an emphasis of Keith's guitar and electronics and Kjell's electronic set up.
Despite the fact that time is running pretty fast and it has already been six years since recording of this album - it still sounds fresh.
Not overdone by anything or anyone - it just feels like a perennial set of music that always has something to say - it could be recorded even 40 years ago and it still bears a trademark of quality.
To me it's also something else - it's an invitation to slow down a little bit and let your perceptory apparatus work its own terms in its own time.
Definitely worth adding to the library of things that are important.
