Aeolian Tendency by Jon Rose

 

Power of the elements - Jon Rose has been constructing aeolian instruments ever since 1979. Embellishing, experimenting and improving and developing them is a craft that is rather rare and this album proves how fine the results are.

By the use of contact microphones and air microphones put into different positions and inside the instruments as well have brought many sonic surprises.

The effect is interesting and helps the audience to understand how a fragile nature of sound is and how it can lead you to feeling more of it only if you try a little bit.

An electroacoustic work of art that Jon has created is both a great evidence how many nuances you can produce from instruments built by a craftsman and also how serenely beautiful the result can be.
