Five minutes to self-destruct by CEL
New album ep recorded by the most uncanny duo of CEL: Felix Kubin and Hubert Zemler brings anthems of post-techno retro-futuristic. Short, five track ep that puts you into a motoric uneasy commotion that were recorded live and definitely have the dynamics and energy of that performances.
Imagine Kraftwerk with frenetic futurism, agitation through Felix and Hubert's vocals. Add up a bit of glitchy harshness to a certain degree and 4/4 beats which are somewhere in the middle road between electro, idm and new beat.
It's an ideal soundtrack for our times: filled with unconscious dependence on the digital tools, devoid of humanely possible dialogue, self-referential and idiomatic as well as genuinely funny and intelligent. It is questioning this unhealthy co-dependence and argues: Are we still able to make decisions on our own?
