''Moon is doom'' has already been recorded three years ago but now is grandly released on a vinyl.
Sly and the Family Drone has been on my scope since the very beginning and after seeing them live a few times are on the top live acts.
Their congregational attitude towards music creating and composing and improvising sounds ever so fresh and this album is a huge energy boost.
Improvisations that have both some sort of eerie cinematic feel and sound with free ethnic jazz fused with a battery of wild electronics.
they are definitely the force of nature - vide track number 2 - Going it - this avalanche of impulsive energy haul is just impossible.
It is an action of mutual support and attentive listening as well as filling up the loopholes and blanks with everything possible and imaginable to make one very important point: we are in this together. Whether it is subtle as in Cuban Funeral Sandwich or crazier and wilder aspect as in the next track Joyless Austere Post-war Biscuits - they always get to the point and core of understanding ...together.
Excellent album that catches up the spirit of unrestrained, genre-crossing improvisation.
