FRANCISCO MEIRINO - A New Instability

 

Francisco Meirino comes back with his new album - a musique concrete in an exploratory mode but with a grit of post-industrial approach.

Based on the field recordings in a kendo dojo in his home - Lausanne, Switzerland, Francisco expresses himself in this unique and one and only way that can be related to art-brut of dada and industrial movement but also filtered through the years of his own experiences that can be dated back to the 90's - he is not only one of the most genuine artists in his own field but also very honest and freshly-sounding too.

A pugilistic, combative edge of those recordings that sound sometimes like a punishment - a cry, a far-reaching echo of something that has both deeper shade and hue to bruitism that you can imagine. It brings the music into a vast area of damp field of uneasy emotions - a cathartic experience to listen to.
