SOLAR SEQUENCES by VOICES OF THE COSMOS from Don't sit on my vinyl

Wojciech Zięba and Rafał Iwański are coming back with a new limited vinyl release which marks their next release.

Voices of cosmos unlike any other of individual projects of the musicians is somewhat limited to a certain theme and the aspect of their interests which in this case is: astronomy and space exploration. The usage of sounds from the area of original extraterrestrial signals and sounds received by radio telescopes (e.g. pulsars, magnetospheres of planets, Sun, aurora borealis, masers) plus a heavy usage of electronic gear and devices - synths, effects as well as sound processing and preparations make up the sound and tone of their project.

Despite the fact that it's pretty easy to get them classified into a cliche label - both gentleman did their very best to make their project classifiable into the terms of scientific sound research rather than another drone ambient album.

The density of the structures in those three tracks, the ingenuity of some of the ideas for the structure and arrangements plus a wide array of source sounds used here makes you think that both of them are experienced in their craft and make a surehand choices of what might be just another experimental ambient album.

The contents of the album invites you to thinking that the inventions of the XXth century are used here as an idiom to create the wholesomeness of all the bleeps, squelches, grunts, drones and textures both rhythmical and background. With adds all up to something of a conondrum of sorts. An ironic and serious comment on the technological development in those troubled times.
