Brandkommando 1989
Something a little different - a Polish Power Electronics project with their new album released by Zoharum.
With all the typical aspects of the genre as guttural, animalistic vocals, sounds taken from the historical sources, sounds of industrial noise and machines, the project is trying to bring on the historical events of 1989 in Romania, overthrowing the Nicolae Ceaușescu dictatorship and what ensued earlier.
The material itself since it is filled with voiceover narrative can pose both as a PE musical bit as well as a theatre performance piece. It is sparsely punctuated by tension - the whole event just blasts at you with noisy aspects of it. It is short enough to succumb yourself to it.
