Whispered Hymns by Fallen

Our Mother –Earth- feedeth thus our little life,

that we may in turn feed her with our death.”

(James Thomson)

Lorenzo Bracaloni a.k.a. Fallen is coming back with a new album - this time released on an Italian label Neotantra.
As usual he provides the listener with a great sense of harmony in terms of both compositions and the production. Scintillating touch of ingenuity when it comes to combining both synthesizers and guitar, he released nine tracks which are just accurately timed - not too long not too short.
The contents of this album is spread over the nostalgic feel that all the compositions have. You could try the label ambient or even neoclassical ambient but those tracks extend into and beyond something else. It's probably Lorenzo has a very clear idea what composing in terms of something comprehensible means. There is no overdoing, no unnecessary rhythms or sounds here - this sense of harmony is rather rare these days.
Also when it comes to composition - it's really something to see it unfold - on many occasions when I listened to it - it felt that the composing skills he has could be really applied to any genre and he would always be a winner.

Fallen is this special project that can be used in any environment and it could be absorbed by it and owned it. It is enough experimental to be on the verge of something a little bit uneasy listening. Yet - the sense of composition and harmony helps it to push through a pool of ideas such as: soundtrack, background music, relaxation, something a bit more poetic as well.
Seeing how fertile as an aritst he is- I only wish him good health and keep doing what he is doing.
