turning porous by Pablo Diserens
A beautiful document of Pablo Diseren's two month period in North West part of Spain's Galicia explores the nature habitat of animals - mostly amphibians in that region.
With all the field recorded albums it can be either hit or a miss. And this one is definitely a big hit in the bull's eye.
An array of microsounds turned to the frequency of almost click n' cuts intervals. Sounds we might recognize instantly here come afresh in a musical biome that is partitioned and released in sequences that are wisely and strategically arranged by Mr Diserens.
It tales quite a skill to put it together in a way that is far from something you know yet sounds and feels familiar.
It is a part of an upcoming exhibition at Galeria Vilaseco.
