DANIEL LENTZ Lips DL Unseen Worlds UW049

Daniel Lentz new album is actually a set of archival recordings from between 1965 and 1989. Before the actual digital era and Pro Tools or any other software that is being used at the moment among the composers community - Unseen Worlds brings a unique blend of free flowing piano and other instruments in modern classical composition along with pre-prepared vocals and spoken word together in something uniquely poetic.
The moments encapsulated in this compilation are truly something - theatrical and somewhat impossible to hear from anyone composing currently. It reminds me definitely of waves and waves of compositional trends as well as established festivals of modern classical music.
The experimentation within those notes is definitely worth of listening and reminding ourselves of how much has/hasn't changed in certain aspects of musical composition.
