Fatbergs by RUBBISH MUSIC

Kate Carr and Ian Chambers are the members of an uncanny duo Rubbish Music which started just in 2022. They not only use the idea of anything that is discarded and anything that is domestic waste and use it to create music. They have also been running a series of workshops as well as creating soundtracks for public information services about litter and waste.

Their music is a subtle experimental study and a sound lab which oscillates between live electronics and composed music that is both electronic and electroacoustics.
Kate as an experienced field recording artist, uses interesting compositional techniques. Ian on the other hand has been using field recordings and locations in his work -  The Eccentric Press for Persistence of Sound, the label he started in 2019. a label to release  musique concrète and field recordings. Its releases span electroacoustic music, field recordings, and other austere music areas filling the gaps between these genres and subgenres.

Fatbergs is a urban faery tale where the non linear narrative is empowered by imagination and the landscape. Unpredictable and eerie in the best of possible ways.
